The fixtures for Division Four have been re-done over 18 Saturdays and generated to the individual Club Play-Cricket web sites. 26-Nov-2009 From Season 2010, the Results, Tables and Averages will only be available on our Play-Cricket website. Clubs will be asked to process their score sheets on their own (free) Play-Cricket website within 48 hours of close of play. Club websites will be linked to the Association website ensuring that Averages are constantly up to date.

05-Nov-2009 The Association recently donated £1,025 to Wales Air Ambulance in memory of umpire Alcwyn Jenkins. The presentation was made at Pontarddulais Cricket Club.
02-Nov-2009 The funeral of Bill Edwards O.B.E. will take place on Wednesday 11th November 2009. A service will be held at All Saints Church, Mumbles at 12.30pm. Following the service Bill will receive a private burial in Sketty. The wake will be held at Sketty Hall. Full details will appear in the press on Thursday 5th November 2009.

Bill was a unique character and a great servant to the game of cricket. He will be sadly missed.

22-Sep-2009 The winter training sessions for Umpires learning and on-going tuition seminars commence on Monday 12th October 2009 at 7pm at Hendy Cricket Club. Current members are requested to note the change of evening. Anyone interested in becoming an umpire will be welcome to attend these sessions.

30-Aug-2009 The Antur Insurance KO Cup Final has been abandoned once again due to inclement weather. It is hoped that the match can now be played on Sunday September 6th or Sunday September 13th.
27-Aug-2009 Dafen C.C. have re-arranged their memorial match for "Oggy" for Monday 31st August due to the clash with their participation in the Antur Insurance KO Cup Final on Sunday 30th August.
23-Aug-2009 The Antur Insurance KO Cup Final was abandoned without a ball being bowled today. Our hosts, Mumbles C.C. are unable to stage the match next Sunday so we hope for kinder weather at our new hosts Llandysul C.C.

The Loves and Laughs of Henry Blofeld is showing at Theatr Brycheiniog, Brecon on Friday 30 October at 7.30pm.  Tickets will be £14.00, concessions £12.50.  There is one free ticket per ten for group bookings.This is an all-new show for 2009, and will be two hours of uncomplicated fun and much leg-pulling from “the voice of cricket”.

05-Aug-2009 Margam C.C. are holding a Six-a-Side Competition on Sunday 9th August. The first match starts at 10.30am and the final will start at approx. 6pm. A barbecue and refreshments will be available.
03-Aug-2009 Congratulations to Ammanford C.C. and Swansea C.C. on reaching the Semi Finals of the Gwalia Welsh Cup. The draw will take place at the SWALEC Stadium on Wednesday evening.

Swansea Civil Service C.C. are holding a Past v Present memorial match for their late Chairman Henry Williams on Sunday 9th August at 2.00pm. All past players are welcome as are all cricketers who came up against 'H' on the field of play.
Mumbles C.C. will play a Twenty/20 match against the Ospreys at Mumbles on Friday 7th August starting at 4.30pm. Entry is £2 per adult with under 18's being admitted free. All proceeds in aid of LATCH, the Welsh Children's Cancer Charity.

Port Talbot Town Cricket Club will be holding a benefit dinner for Alex Wharf at Taibach Rugby Club on Thursday August 20th 2009. 
There will be a 3 course dinner followed by a Q&A session featuring cricketers from Glamorgan C.C.C., Middlesex C.C.C. and Ospreys Rugby.  
The "FUNNIES" will be supplied by Dai Vaughan. 
All member clubs/guests are invited to attend and the cost is £20.00 per head or £200.00 per table of 10.

17-May-2009 The 2008 Antur Insurance Cup Final has been postponed due to bad weather. The match is now scheduled to be played on Bank Holiday Monday 25th May.
16-May-2009 If the South Wales Premier Cricket League becomes a reality, the Management Committee will recommend that there is no relegation within the Association this season. They will also recommend that the Association restructures into four divisions. Clubs will only move to a higher division if they meet the required ground criteria.
10-May-2009 The delayed 2008 Antur Insurance KO Cup Final will now be hosted by Neath Cricket Club on Sunday 17th May commencing at 1.30pm.
06-May-2009 The draft South Wales Premier Cricket League Constitution, Playing Rules and Ground Criteria have been uploaded to the members area. We are still awaiting dates to meet with Glamorgan C.C.C.
05-May-2009 For those of you wondering why there are no Second XI results posted, only nine clubs have e-mailed them. I am unable to get any details from the local press and have been told that they have stopped ringing clubs on a Sunday to get the scores. Unless all clubs e-mail their Second XI results we'll have to wait until all the result sheets have been returned before Second XI information can be posted here.

01-Apr-2009 Teletext has announced that due to economic reasons, it will no longer carry any local cricket fixtures and results. The service for local football and rugby will also end at the end of their current seasons.

27-Mar-2009 Bronwydd Cricket are saddened to report the sudden passing of Louis Webb. He will be sadly missed by both his family and local community and our thoughts go to his wife Janet and their boys Tomos, Rhys and Alan.
The funeral will take place on Thursday 2nd April at 12.00 noon.
A public service at St Peters Carmarthen will be followed by a private internment at Saint Celynin Church Bronwydd with refreshments at Bronwydd Cricket Club afterwards.

05-Mar-2009 The Caribbean tour party held an end of tour dinner at the Ship Inn last evening and were joined by special guests Ian Bradshaw and Greg Armstrong. Greg sends his best wishes to all his friends back in Wales and hopes to visit again in the near future.

04-Mar-2009 A defeat by the Wanderers C.C. brings the curtain down on a gloriously successful Caribbean tour. Our thanks go to 'Shipwreck' in Antigua, Ricky, Calvin & Martin in Barbados and all our hosts and drivers on both islands. A special mention must go to the John Hughes Cricket Club in Antigua for their exceptional hospitality.

01-Mar-2009 Today, the Caribbean tour party produced a formidable score of 225-5 which proved to be too large a total for Banks C.C.
Winning six out of seven matches played so far, the team look forward to their final match against the Wanderers C.C. on Wednesday with confidence.

28-Feb-2009 The Caribbean tour party get back on the winning track by defeating Welches C.C. by 18 runs in a very tense finish.
Injuries, however, are starting to take their toll. Ashley Pass took a direct hit on his left foot which fractured his big toe. Tom Davies has tendinitis in his right arm and will be unable to bowl in the remaining matches.
25-Feb-2009 The tour party has suffered it's first defeat in the Caribbean, losing to the Barbados Defence Force by 5 wickets.
24-Feb-2009 The Caribbean tour continued on the island of Barbados with a convincing win against the Barbados Police Force.
Today, the tour party were lucky enough to gain limited access to the Kensington Oval and bumped into one famous face.
21-Feb-2009 The Caribbean Tour Party has made a clean sweep of Antigua by defeating the current island champions, Empire C.C., by 32 runs. Craig Evans was nursing a sore wrist caused by a failed diving catch in the previous match and was replaced by a fully fit Tom Davies.
The tour party were also lucky enough to visit the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Stadium.

19-Feb-2009 The Caribbean Tour continued with another win against Mahico C.C. at the Antigua Police Ground. Tom Davies failed a fitness test as he'd forgotten to put sun lotion on the top of his feet on his day off at the beach. Being unable to put his cricket boots on, there were no selection headaches for the Management Team. Tom will be fit again for the next match.
17-Feb-2009 The Caribbean tour got off to a winning start with S.W.C.A beating John Hughes C.C. of Antigua by 28 runs. We would like to thank our hosts for their wonderful hospitality and a good day was enjoyed by all.
16-Feb-2009 The SWCA Super Heroes were on display at the first day of the third test match in Antigua. Some even made an appearance on Sky Sports apparently.

07-Feb-2009 Representatives of the South Wales Cricket Association and the South Wales Cricket League spent 7 hours yesterday in a locked room discussing the constitution, ground criteria and the match regulations of the South Wales Premier Cricket League. The resulting documentation will be presented to Glamorgan C.C.C. in early March and then to clubs soon thereafter.

04-Feb-2009 We were informed today of the death of Phil Holding ("Oggy") of Dafen Cricket Club. "Oggy" was well known throughout the Association and he will be sadly missed.
The funeral is on Tuesday 17th Feb at 12.15 at Llanelli District Chapel (Box Cemetery) followed by a wake at Dafen Cricket Club.

29-Jan-2009 Glamorgan C.C.C. has confirmed it will initially sponsor the "South Wales Premier Cricket League" (official name) should it become a reality. The words "South Wales" will be replaced by a major sponsors name.
29-Jan-2009 We were informed today of the death of Lynn Waters.  Lynn was a committee member and former Chairman of Ammanford Cricket Club. He had been the Membership Secretary for the past 20 odd years.

08-Jan-2009 In the early hours of Wednesday 7th January, Maesteg Cricket Club lost one of it's true characters. Andrew Coombes was cruelly taken from his family after a short illness. Andrew served Maesteg Cricket Club with great dignity over the years as a player, captain, committee man and vice-chairman. Andrew will always be remembered for his fierce determination to win and his wicked sense of humour, which appealed to both young and old. I'm sure that all those who had the honour of taking to the field, either with or against Andrew will join us in offering our deepest condolences to Louise and the rest of Andrew's family.
